Bipolar Support Forums To Share and Support One Another

What we're about here

To all of the diverse and valued members of our community...

As the name of this website should make clear, this is a support site for people who are either directly or indirectly affected by bipolar disorder.

Our aim is to provide a safe, informative, interactive, comfortable and (hopefully sometimes) fun environment to support all of our journeys from the head-fuck of diagnosis to stability, as well as helping ourselves, our friends and family members to understand how to cope with the shit that inevitably rears its' ugly head along the way.

Yes, we're crazy. Yes, we screw a lot of shit up. Yes, we embarrass, shame and humiliate ourselves along the way, but we all should be trying to learn and understand as much as we can about how the illness affects us, and what we can do to minimise the harm that it causes both us and those around us, along that journey.

Our greatest asset is all of you guys, our members, who have lived the pain, struggles, fear, confusion, frustration, despondency and (occasionally) elation and pride of having to deal with this illness.

All of you, and what you share with both members and anonymous guests who read your posts, contribute to providing a greater understanding of how to accept and live with this bastard of an illness, and for that you should all be extremely proud.

This only works, however, if we all respect and consider each other.

Threats of suicide, abuse of other members, and / or an unwillingness to give to others what you hope to get for yourself, will only result in our hard-working, volunteer staff swiftly and sternly intervening in your participation here.

This is a community. Contribute genuinely and positively, and the site can hopefully change your life for the better as much as it has mine over ten or so years.

If you can't manage that, then this is not the place for you.

Our members make the site, and our staff are here to make sure that our members feel safe and comfortable posting.

Again, it's all in the site name... BipolarSupport.org.
