That's a good one hal :D

My kitten now decided it's funny to wait by the front door when we arrive and sneak out between out legs without us noticing. I'm always careful, she usually can't pass by me, but my mom is not that careful. Tonight, my mom arrived at 1am and didn't notice Flash (appropriate, right?) pass by her. The poor kitten stayed all night outside, I noticed her screaming at 5:30 and went to open the door for her. She must've woken up the entire building with that meawing. Then she just collapsed on the floor next to the food and asked for me to pet her... Hopefully she learned her lesson. Luckily the neighbors didn't walk their dog past that time, or anyone else left the building or something. Oh man, my heart is still pounding, my poor kitten.

For years I pretended to know what a vinaigrette was, smiling politely at dinner parties, nodding my head at restaurant chefs like I'm understanding perfectly the flavour they're describing. Until 2 minutes ago when I decided to finally google said word, to find out I've been doing them for years thinking it was my invention.

Thanks, she slept all morning and then played for a bit, she's back to her normal self. When I left though, she didn't try to run off, instead ran towards the kitchen. Hope she doesn't forget about it so it won't happen again :?

And yeah  I feel kinda dumb.

Me, to 2 men on (a fully booked city to city) train overloaded with bags and trying to put them places they just won't go: hey guys, there's loads of empty storage between the seats here.

They obviously know better than some chick on the train though, and are still trying to fit 2 large suitcases and 2 other giant bundles into the leg room of their 2 cramped seats

A couple of blackbirds is living on a fig tree in the back of my building, the tree goes right by the roof of my storage room, and I can see it through my kitchen window. So every day in the morning, there's the black cat trying to catch the birds until he's bored.
Then, after he leaves, the blackbirds come out and gather stuff.

Sometimes they come to the front of the building when it's raining to pick worms from the soil.

I've been watching them for a year. I think they had babies.

Fresh pressed apple cider tastes so good.....
Snowflakes gently floating from the sky just dusting the ground. Then it picks up bigger fatter flakes cascading from space at a faster rate. From a dusting to a trace. Then the deluge comes. Oh what joy. Watching everything slow to a crawl, then a stop. Step outside and even with things moving it is quiet. It is a giant muffler the earth is wearing. Causing everything to be muted. To be calm.

I just spent two hours and a half cooking a vegetarian lasagna. I'm tired.

This is my second attempt of making a vegetarian lasagna, but I didn't cook well back then and now I'm a much better cook. I tasted everything, research dozens of recipes to come to a conclusion and invention of my own.

It will be done in 40 minutes, can't wait to try it out :D

We put the cat and dog in a kennel while we were on our trip. The dog has severe separation anxiety, and in spite of the fact he gets Prozac and three anti-anxiety drugs, he usually has trouble, and did this time. But we all laughed when we found out the kennel people thought the name of our newly-acquired cat was "Hopeless." They couldn't bear to call him that, so they settled on "Hope." But his name is "Opuss."
