mom6....I don't know what kind of problem you're having, but would it be possible for you to email me the avatar you would like to use? I can upload it for you, or see what I can do.

Candy to rot your teeth. Used to be a Halloween candy.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candy_corn
Snowflakes gently floating from the sky just dusting the ground. Then it picks up bigger fatter flakes cascading from space at a faster rate. From a dusting to a trace. Then the deluge comes. Oh what joy. Watching everything slow to a crawl, then a stop. Step outside and even with things moving it is quiet. It is a giant muffler the earth is wearing. Causing everything to be muted. To be calm.

I've seen pictures before... I'd always sort of vaguely assumed it was supposed to be somehow made from corn (corn syrup doesn't count).

Because, obviously, it doesn't look anything like corn...

Well it does kind of look like a corn kernal, which might be why they call it candy corn. But know it's made of nasty chalk or something cause it hasn't tasted good for the past 20 or so halloweens for me.

I decided to use an avatar of my last dog, Dufus. He was part Labrador, part Rottweiler, and totally spoiled. Even at 120 pounds, he was convinced he was a lap dog. I don't know if it shows in the smallish picture, but he's smiling. He left us at age 16, which is EXTREMELY old for a larger breed of dog.

He earned his name because as a 10 month old puppy, he thought he was able to cut corners like our spaniel, and routinely crashed into walls and doorways. I said to him, :You look like a Dufus." He grinned to me, and that was it...he had his name.

I like it, and I can see him smiling.

I'm not having any luck with getting mine up. Idk what I keep doing wrong.

Jeff.....

What a great dog, Jeff.....he looks so happy and well loved.....thanks for sharing him with us. And you're right....16 is a very long time for a large dog. I lost my little tea cup chihuahua a year and half ago.....She was 16 too, so I know how you feel.

Duckysmom,
Nice to see the lovely Ducky...

Aww! Ducky is beautiful! I always feel bad about calling you Ducky because I feel I'm ruining "the thing"

You're not ruining the thing  , AG, and I'd feel really funny if you all started calling me Mom :D . Ducky is my 5 month old quaker parrot and I love him a lot. Calling me Ducky seems like a term of endearment to me. You could shorten it to DM if you want. I just hope that doesn't reresent something I'm not thinking about right now.
