I can't help but notice that most of you don't use/have avatars.

Any particular reason? They really add to the board, and give you a chance to express yourself. The members on our old board always had them, and to be honest I miss them.

The staff would really love to see you guys start to post them. As I said it really adds so much to the board, and tells us a little about yourself.

If you need any help, just let us know...... :)

Crazymedic, you can reduce them by cropping, there are also programs that can do it for you but I tend to stay away from 'free' programs. If you have microsoft paint you can go to Images-Attributes and change the width & height. Hope this helps.

I got mine from the internet

P.S. thanks for becoming a mod, look forward to hearing from you.

That was the result of a challenge we had on the Photoshop forum I attend. Making funny filmstrips.

I think I'll keep changing them from time to time. After all, Halloween is coming up . . . then the celebration of the harvest, Thanksgiving . . . then there's Yuletide . . . you get the picture!

If anyone wants to know the steps to making an avatar, signature, etc., here they are:

On the righthand side of the board ---> User Menu ---> User Control Panel

At the top of the page ---> Profile

On the left ---> your choices

I like your latest one better Steve. It's more clear and it's funny as hell.

Yours is great too Steambelle!

Yeah, I remember your pukey ( ) witch Mocha. Mine is a bit friendlier, kinda sly. I used my own face to make the composite. But . . . on further reflection, I might have to make a mean one this year.

I think it's because the Rod of Asclepius is high.

Pancake wrote:Mocha... my inner control freak says the Rod of Asclepius only has one snake and is being driven crazy by your avatar...

Pancake, I have to say.....I had never heard of the Rod of Asciepius before today. I'm not much into Greek mythology but that's why god made Google....

You're quite right.....the Rod of Asclepius does only have one snake, but evidently there's a whole lot of confusion between that and the caduceus which is in my avvy. Leave it to us yanks to add to the confusion in the late 19th/20th century.......

See how much I learned......

So how do you like my new avvy?........the stoned Eye of Providence. i wonder how many peeps I can offend with that?.......
