I finished a whole book. Haven't been able to do that in years.

Good job Lovehope... Not easy to do if your not a reader...
Snowflakes gently floating from the sky just dusting the ground. Then it picks up bigger fatter flakes cascading from space at a faster rate. From a dusting to a trace. Then the deluge comes. Oh what joy. Watching everything slow to a crawl, then a stop. Step outside and even with things moving it is quiet. It is a giant muffler the earth is wearing. Causing everything to be muted. To be calm.

It was An Unquiet Mind, right? A compelling book, if not exactly a page turner.

I came to work smiling today. 2 coworkers commented that it’s good to see a smile. Also went and bought some pots and pans, other necessities for the house.

We’ll see how the afternoon pans out but so far so good.

Yes Hal it was an unquiet mind. It was a huge comfort for me in these past few days of despair.. a book that let me know I'm not alone. I could relate to her so much, especially being that i am from the field of psychology too

Good job Mom2dani a smile is much more productive then a frown. Now you can really cook...

Congratulations, you survived the silly season. Its a bit hard to escape for most of us, even if you don't *relevant religion, tradition or country*. No matter how well you breezed or narrowly you scraped through, here you are, pat yourself on the back (:

Yes, we certainly need to help out by cheering the University of Kansas basketball team, because they've already lost two and... oh, this thread is not for that kind of cheering?

Good cheer? Encouragement?

Oh. Well then, Happy New Year everyone!

Isn't this time of year great? Friendly greetings you can use use for a week or more, one right after the other.

I think I’m stable. Something to cheer about. I’m not often stable. I think I’m finally where I want to be.

That's awesome. You've had a big year, and quite a bit of pre -christmas stress. Hope it lasts for you!

My twin brother over the past two months has been in the hospital 3 times and in rehab 2 times He had urinary tract surgery earlier this month and there were complications: we thought he might die. But the urologist is now more confident, and he is going back to rehab, and then hopefully home. He lives with his daughter: she and I think he's out of the woods. I pointed out he never complains, and she responded, "Yes, he's awesome!" I liked that. :D
