Cat escape

Have a case of the blues? Sad? Or in that dark place we all know far too well? Well, pull up a chair, order a cup of your favorite brew and tell us all about it. We're ready to listen, and offer our support and understanding.

So all you cat lovers will understand my concern with this one. We are at the beach house and normally the cat stays inside when we are here but he escaped yesterday morning (36 hours ago) and hasn’t returned. He’s escaped before but usually comes back by now. Feeling pretty worried but trying to play it down in front of the kids. He’s got a collar and is microchipped so should make it back to us if someone finds him but there’s lots of bush around here and snakes and sand dunes and lots of places to get lost. Feeling sad.

So sorry, Jemane. I hope you find him or he finds his way back and he's safe.

Oh wow, Jemane.....I can imagine worried/frantic you are........ :( I would be frantic too. Does his collar have your/his name/phone no. on it? Or his vet's? And thank goodness he has the micro chip......Hopefully someone will find him. Here's sending good thoughts.

We lost our little tea cup chihuahua once/it had our vet's number on it and the guy who found her, returned her to the vet's office first thing the next morning, thank buddha. Good thing, cause we were freaking out.

I def get how you're feeling and I hope you find him soon......

I'm sorry to hear about this, jemane. Cats are smart, though, and know a little about self-preservation. FWIW, we had a cat who disappeared but turned up again a month later! He lived to age 16.

48 hours after getting lost he’s finally come home. We are very relieved. We’ll be keeping him inside all the time. No more escapes.

Yes, he’s most definitely been ‘fixed’ but good thought!
