Lamictal Issues (TW-SI, SH)

Talk about meds, side effects, and the 'med-go-round'.

After months off of medication, I conceded to starting medication again and my pdoc prescribed Lamictal, which I had taken for years prior to stopping taking medication. I started it about a week ago and in the last few days I’ve been struggling with SI and self-harm, which haven’t been issues in a long time. Is it possible it’s from the Lamictal even though I took it before? Or is it because the Lamictal isn’t working yet? I’m scared to call my pdoc for fear of being hospitalized for SI again.

I suffered from SI from lamictal twice. Call your pdoc before it gets worse. It is scary to think of the hospital but they may be able to help you on an outpatient basis if you are honest with them.
