Prince was beyond amazing, besides being an unbelievable musician his lyrics spoke of wisdom and a wonderful positivity. I was also a fan from my preteens, around 1989. He was my mentor, my hero, my guru. His words and sound got me through many difficult times and growth.

I've been playing his music for decades, but since he passed I've usually been playing at least one album every day. I wept when I heard and I wept ceaselessly for that whole day. Often something will remind me of him and I will cry a little again. He was more than a musician, in his own lyric "I'm the purple Yoda..." He was strong in the light side and he did it with unadulterated funk. It makes me happy he was in my life, it brings so much sorrow that he had to leave. I miss him, I miss all of what will never be.
Stars, hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep desires.
